Code stroke should be activated to let the emergency department CT be available and ready. International CT stroke protocol should be applied to the patient, first the radiographers with the physicians should do a CT without contrast (non-enhanced) to see if there is any hemorrhage or not. If they did not see any bleeding , they should activate the bolus (power injector) to introduce the contrast in the intravenous which called CT perfusion to detect an ischemic stroke followed by CT angiography to find if there is a thrombosis.
To tide up, The on-call radiologist should manage a patients who has of acute stroke. A new technique of CT study (non-enhanced CT, perfusion CT, and CT angiography) should be obtained and analyzed quickly and easily by general radiologists using an international CT protocol.
