Ad Reinhardt: Painting Analysis

Ad Reinhardt had a unique painting style and concept while the development with his black paintings. During his last days of lif he constantly repainted the same paining, same structure and applying shades of the same color on the surface. His black paintings were square format, identically divided into nine equal squares and coated in shades of black. Reinhardt also choose to paint these canvas by hand rather than using industrial techniques provided by mechanical reproduction.
