Identify a task for which Flash would be suitable and explain how the functionality of the software would help to complete the task effectively
Adobe Flash is a multimedia and software platform used for authoring of vector graphics, animation, games and rich Internet applications. Flash is a powerful multimedia creation tool that can be used to build simple animations, full-featured applications, and everything in between.
Functionality
Tween
A tween in Adobe Flash Professional is an animation that is created by specifying a value for an object property in one key frame and another value for that same property in another key frame. Flash calculates the values for that property in between those two frames. The term tween comes from the words "in between."
Motion Tween
Motion tween is using Symbol's (e.g. Arrow) movement from one position to another.
To implement Motion Tween all that you have to do is, provide Flash with Symbol's (e.g. Direction of arrow) initial position and the end position. Rest is taken care by Flash. It creates frames by itself and move the shape accordingly.
Shape Tween
By tweening shapes, you can create an effect similar to morphing, making one shape appear to change into another shape over time. Flash can also tween the location, size, and colour of shapes. A shape tween allows you to morph an object's shape and color to another.
Action Script
ActionScript is an object-oriented programming (OOP) language that is designed specifically for Web site animation. ActionScript is coding which makes it possible for developers to create onscreen environments (such as games, tutorials, and e-commerce applications) that can respond to user input through the keyboard or mouse. Flash 5 also includes a new ActionScript editing environment that automates editing tasks and reduces development time.
