As the leaves started to fall and sway side to side at the valley, and at that time the Inuits decided to have a ceremony for her mother but because of that, it only made it worse on Adsila.
She found a little secret place outside of the valley where she got some quiet time. At that spot, there was a steep, deep hole where it looked like a meteor had landed.
The tribe said the spirits liked to come down there before sunrise on Saturdays. The day after, it was Saturday. Adsila was still at her secret hidden spot and noticed beams of lights beaming down the dirt. Those beams of lights were the spirits of the people who passed away. Before she wiped her tears off her rosy red cheeks, she saw the long luscious hair her

“No sir, I have not,” answered Adsila.
“You have created what seems to be a body of water,” explained Kumjua.
Adsila already knew that it was she who created the body of water Kumjua was talking about. She could not possibly believe if she were to continue to cry, it would grow bigger and create a beautiful piece. So that is what she did. Adsila cried and cried and stared at her tears build up right in front of her eyes. The tears flowed left to right. At one point, she knew the outcome of this would make her mother proud up from the heavens above.
The body of water, that Kumjua called, started to be recognized by people from all different kinds of tribes. All the people wanted to know what it was called, but no one knew. Some said it should be named high tears or deep tears. Not a single one caught Adsila attention, but she remembered something her my mom used to say to her. Before Adsila would go to bed, her mother would say “sleep tight ocean.” In honor of her mother, she decided to call it ocean, ocean of the

Upon boarding the boat, I viewed water as if it were not just water. I found solace in the water, for it is where my grandmother resides. The atmosphere and its cool breeze reassured my soul that all was well. The song, “You Are My Sunshine,” implies, “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.” My maw maw used to sing that song to me at bedtime and at times when I was consumed in melancholy. While I lament that I cannot be her sunshine anymore, Nature has allowed her to be…
