Why I am Against School Uniforms by: Emily Simmerman
I am against school uniforms because it can make it hard to see the real you, teens and kids in adulthood won't be able to be independent, and bullying does not get fixed by school uniforms. First, uniforms make it hard to see the real you. People have their own style,if you can't show that you can't see who you really are. Also teens and kids in adulthood will not know how to be independent. If they have to wear the same clothes all the time they won't be able to dress themselves without help in the future. Bullying does not get fixed by school uniforms. After uniforms came to almost half of schools

    None of the schools I have attended had a uniform requirement and many students dressed in ways I found inappropriate. The private school I attended had a strict dress code but public school teachers often overlook the violation of dress code. School uniforms bring a more formal look; giving the school a better reputation and creating a sense of belonging among the students. My style is very diverse and reveals my general interests, whether it be nerdy shirts, girly clothing or vintage outfits from the 40's.     All around the United States more and more schools and switching to the idea of school uniforms. Schools think that this uniform policy will help bring down crime rates, gangs, improve the schools over all academic achievement, and level out social discriminations among students.
