Agree or Disagree - Essay Topic
Essay Topic: Do you agree or disagree? "It is sometimes important for people to do things that they do not enjoy doing."
To lead a successful life, one must be able to tackle difficult situations and overcome obstacles. In doing so, we must face with tasks that we do not find to be pleasant but difficult, painful, and uncomfortable. For example, a university student must devote much time to study, research, and prepare for exams instead of doing more enjoyable activities such as: socializing with friends, playing sports, partying, etc. In my opinion, it is very important for everybody, regardless of occupation, to do things we do not enjoy in order to be successful.
One of the important things in life is preparation. It is commonly accepted that preparation is necessary in all areas of life. But because we do not see the immediate results and benefits therefore many people do not find preparation to be enjoyable. For example, a business person must spend countless hours and going over facts and figures preparing for a business presentation in order to deliver a convincing proposal. He knows doing the necessary preparation will put him at the advantage. He is better able to answer any question the audience may have. This will help him to be successful conveying his point and therefore, a successful business dealing.
In addition, facing with new challenges also presents some difficulty for many people. It is normal to feel uneasy when doing the tasks we are not accustomed to. For instance, it is not uncommon for an employee to face with unfamiliar assignments at work when the management is starting new initiatives. It is in the employee’s interests to demonstrate his value to the company by trying to do the unfamiliar assignment even if it is uncomfortable at first. His effort will not go unnoticed when there is a new opportunity open in the company.
Another very important issue is learning and acquiring new skills. When we start learning a new skill, it is

    2. English Reformation: Henry VIII had greater political control over England after the Act of Supremacy in 1534. The monarch was now the head of the English church. This lays the foundation of the nation-state as one national gov’t became more in charge of national affairs. After Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries, the monarchy had even greater control of English land. This was the biggest land transfer in Eng. history.…

It is indeed a fair conclusion that clinicians are ultimately responsible for the appropriate use of a test, if the clinician is the person administering or using the test to evaluate or measure a specific aspect of the client. It is my opinion that the professional or test user, whether a mental health clinician, school district, or hospital administrator, is responsible for the use of the test. The test user should possess a knowledge and/or skills of different aspects of the assessment which include testing material, scoring, administering, and reporting test scores, as well as the ability to obtain and evaluate information about the quality, reliability, and validity of the instrument. The Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education (1999) defines a test user as “people and agencies that select tests, administer tests, commission test development and services, or make decisions on the basis of test scores” (pg. 2). According to the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education (1999), the role and primary responsibility of the test user is to “select tasks that meet the intended purpose and that are appropriate for the intended test taker” (pg. 5).…
