Alanniss Morissette You Live You Learn Meaning
In the song “You learn” by Alannis Morissette, is a very inspirational song. In this song Morissette is talking about mistakes that people go through. From this Morissette uses many different ways to express how people can learn from these mistakes. The line “you live, you learn.” (Morissette, p.1) is very motivational to me because as time goes by you learn to gain knowledge form what accrued in the past. There was this one time when I was young and my older brother told me that I am dumb and not smart enough to do his homework. From what he said I took it the wrong way got really mad, disappointed and started to cry.
It was the winter of 2006 I was about 5 years old and my brother was 7 years old. My brother and I were doing homework in the living room, that day my mom was willing to challenge us she said who ever finishes there homework first will get something good. Then she said ready set go and we started 10 minutes later I was done I was so excited that I finished something before my brother I said mommy, mommy I am done at that moment my brother was extremely disappointed that I was done before him and before thinking twice he said that is not fair and the only reason you finished before me is because you have baby homework so shut up I bet you if you did my homework it would

Ever since that day I always thought I was dumb and not capable of doing things that where above my grade level. However, as time went by I started learning that everyone is capable of doing anything if you just believe in your self and try. I also learned that nobody is dumb and everyone is smart in there own ways. From this another thing I learned is that no matter what age you are older or younger then your sibling you are capable of doing anything you set your mind

As humans we make mistakes, but the real power is learning from our mistakes. Often we can learn from others mistakes that way we don’t have to feel the pain ourselves to understand why we shouldn’t do something or be a certain way. Also we can learn from history and past mistakes that lead them into bad times and disputes. From literature we learn morals and lessons through the characters position. “We live with our archetypes, but can we live in them?” rightly said by Poul Anderson.…

My mom never screamed at me before and when she screamed he blamed me for letting him go outside without his permission. One sunny day, we were remodeling the living room so it can be more babyproof now that my brother was taller and could walk and run perfectly. We left the door open because it was too cold in the living room. We were moving the couch as we told Andres to move over so we don’t locate the couch on his feet. We were so busy moving the furniture that we totally forgot the baby of the family was walking towards the door. When we put the couch in our desired spot, we noticed Andres walking toward the street. We ran after him as quickly as we could as we saw a car moving in Andres’s direction. My dad sprinted like a track and field athlete towards his baby and caught him right in time. All of a sudden, my mom turned to me and blamed me for this incident. I felt like my side of the story wasn’t considered when I explained she told me to help her with the couch and it was really Andres’s fault. She couldn’t believe I was blaming a baby so she sent me to my room. I ran to my room crying, feeling as if Andres was the favorite child and I wished that I never had a…

What is a lesson? A lesson means an experience, especially an unpleasant one that somebody can learn from, so it does not happen again in the future. And everyone probably had a lesson of some sort before. For me, I have had many lessons throughout my life already, from small things, like you should always bring an umbrella with you to school, never run with your wallet in your pocket, to something big like studying hard before a test. And these mistakes probably changed my life in ways.…

Life is a series of lessons and challenges which help us to grow. According to Erik Erickson, the better that people come through each crisis, the better they will tend to deal with what lies ahead. People experience the most lessons during their childhood when they are just learning of how the world operates. Children and young adults handle situations very differently because their thought processes are different depending on their experiences. Of course lessons can be revisited successfully when they reoccur as adults, if they are recognized as a problem.…

To this point in life I still work twice as hard as most people because of my learning disability. But my rewards are my A’s in my…

Part of being a human being is learning from our mistakes. It is a natural process that we all experience at various periods of our lives. For instance, throughout the process of learning how to solve mathematics problems, the only method is to practice solving the problems. During this process of solving the problems, it is only natural to make mistakes. By comparison, in life in general, the only way to learn to become a better person is by correcting the mistakes that were previously experienced. During the past sixteen years of my life, I have learned many lessons as a result of primarily making mistakes. My mother always told me to obey the speed limit because one day I will unexpectedly have to pay the price. Not only could I kill myself by speeding, I could kill other innocent people that could have been involved.…
