Albert Einstein's Accomplishments

Throughout history many great leaders have risen from both strife and victory. Men and women that have the ability to inspire, drive, and influence other people and life for generations to come. Albert Einstein (Einstein) is one of those leaders. His accomplishments have forever impacted the world and how its people see it. Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879 to a non-practicing Jewish family, something that would become troublesome for him and his family during the rise of the nazi party. He moved around a lot as a child, attending many schools, including Luitpold Gymnasium (Munich), Aarau (Switzerland), and Swiss Federal Polytechnic School (Zurich.) Einstein, being unable to find a teaching job, took a job as an assistant at the Swiss Patent Office. It was during this time that he developed his famous energy-mass equivalence equation: E=mc^2. This would lead to many future advancements, including involvement during World War II’s Manhattan Project. “After World War II, Einstein was a leading figure in the World Government Movement, he was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel…,” he declined that offer, and created the Hebrew University Of Jerusalem with Chaim Weizmann (“Albert
Einstein - Biographical”). The world saw Einstein’s value and began to listen and respect him. People saw how he worked and interacted with others well, allowing him to be the great leader that he was.
Einstein’s personality is described as being very pleasant and extroverted.
Two of Einstein’s most notable tendencies are his curiosity and playfulness. Einstein’s curiosity drove him to learn to understand everything around him, while his playfulness helped fuel his curiosity of the world. “He was phenomenally curious, very different from most people in the world; those who lived then, before him or now. His curiosity drove him or compelled him to get to the bottom of things” (Albert Einstein Personality Traits - HRFnd). This drive helped him to make advancements such as: the Manhattan Project forward with great speed. Einstein was a visionary and pace-setting type of leader. “Einstein always appeared to have a clear view of the problems of physics and the determination to solve them. He had a strategy of his own and was able to visualize the main stages on the way to his goal. He regarded his major achievements as mere stepping-stones for the next advance.” (“Albert Einstein - Biographical”). Einstein’s ability to visualize the way to his goal and the determination to attain that goal defines Einstein as a visionary and a leader in his field, while his thought process of moving forward to the next advancement makes him a pace-setter as he continues to move forward and lead the world with him. Several of the terms that accurately describe Einstein are Extroverted, “(psychology) a person concerned more with practical realities than with inner thoughts and feelings,” (“Extrovert - Dictionary Definition”); a visionary, a leadership style that involves taking an organization in a new direction, and a pace-setter, a style of leading that involves having high standards,“obsessive about doing things better and faster, and asks the same of everyone.” These depict his leadership styles as well as his profound personality traits.
Einstein’s accomplishments and his intelligence are still respected and revered to this day. His personality traits and leadership styles enabled him to accomplish many goals throughout his lifetime. It was in fact his curious and playful natures that were the foundation of his success. Ultimately, his visionary and pace-setting leadership styles would complete the foundation for one of the recognizably greatest leaders of all time. This has left a lasting impact on society and the world.
