• Alexander Hamilton was brought in by Thomas Jefferson to lead the Treasury Department. Hamilton’s instant goal was to initiate our nation’s financial stability. Also, to revitalize economic development and bring the country’s most financial interest to government support. He believed that the aim of national greatness could happen if the government suffered from the same defects under the Articles of Confederation. The Federalist party for a very long time was with peace with. Another reason it failed to stay was that the democratic spirit of time was opposed. They did not want the idea of a strong democracy. The Federalists supported Britian in its war against France. Since the Federalists were focused in New England, it was a area which was dominated vastly by trade in England. They did not want a war that disrupted their economic system.
