Alice in Quantumland is a book about a girl named Alice that is bored and wanting something to do. She begins her journey by entering the world of Quantumland. This land that she enters is smaller than an atom. Throughout the book there are many different encounters that all demonstrate a different area of the Quantum Theory. Throughout the book she will meet an emperor who will explain the meaning of interference, and show examples of this by using their “thinking room” There are all kinds of different encounters through this book that will teach you and give you a better understanding about the Quantum Theory.
Quantum Theory This book uses many examples about the Quantum Theory. This book would have been a lot easier for the reader if you have an idea about what the Quantum Theory really actually is and how it works. The actual definition of the Quantum Theory is the subatomic and atomic behavior of matter and energy explained, and which is the basis of modern physics. While Alice is wondering around trying to find out why everything in Quantumland seems to be unbelievable and not very realistic, she comes to the Mechanics Institute. There she meets a classical mechanic and a Quantum Mechanic who are both in …show more content…
Alice didn’t understand hardly anything that she was being taught throughout the book. Every time that she asked a question she always got the answer as, “go to this building or this person and you will know the answer.” Throughout the story she sees all these different examples of the quantum theory and other big ideas in physics and how it functions. I often feel like Alice when it comes to Physics. I try to understand everything that is happening and it just all seems to run together and not make any since, but eventually over time of asking questions and trying to think of all different ways of how things work together and function I understand a little
