One of the most dangerous animal in the Amazon Rainforest is the Green Anaconda growing over 30 feet and weighing in at over 50 pounds. The Green Anaconda coils around its prey and drags it into the water suffocating it then swallows it whole.
The largest tree in the Amazon Rainforest is the Kapok. This tree can reach up to 200 feet in height. Some of theses trees can grow as much as 13 feet per year! Since this tree is very tall it covers over other rainforest vegetation. The trunk of the Kapok tree can expand to 9 or 10 feet in diameter.The Kapok tree produces anywhere between 500 and 4.00 fruits at one time, with each one fruit containing 200 seeds.
If you were in the Amazon and it started to rain you would have about 10 minutes to find a dry place to stay until the rain stopped. In the Amazon Rainforest the trees are packed so tightly together that it takes about 10 minutes for the rain to reach the ground.
