America As A Gift Of Technology

Everyone gets lucky at some point in their lives. I personally was lucky at birth. Being born into a kind and caring family, parents with well paid jobs, and are very strong financially. I live in a beautiful house that not many people could afford. I receive a proper education, preparing me to do the same for my children, and the generation after, and so forth. See, I live in an age where technology has evolved. Teachers use smart boards and online textbooks to teach lessons and prepare us for our futures in the world. When my parents were around the same age as me, they didn’t have any of these things. In some ways, the generation of today has received an answer key to many dilemmas in their everyday lives. Confused on something in school? Students simply would search the web and find an answer to their question in a matter of seconds. Although this is a great source of information, has the current generation become too reliant on it, using it as more of a crutch than a helpful resource? In my opinion, America has given this to us as a gift. A gift to a simpler life, where cars can drive themselves, and information can be learned by a click of a button. We’ve constantly repeated the process of improvement throughout American history. My generation has been gifted with potential, potential to become the next presidents,
He once said, “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential...these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” To me, this quote exemplifies America as a whole, showing that nothing comes without hard work. Throughout history Americans have gone through great ordeals, all to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the generation of tomorrow. So yes, I believe America has gifted my generation, America has gifted us with life and possibilities, it’s what we do with these gifts that really
