Technology in the 1970s, although nothing compared to today's technology, greatly impacted the people of that decade. Computers have been just one of many inventions that proved how life was made easier. For example, they allowed for work to be done faster and more efficient. Aside from technology, a variety of fashion trends were introduced during the 70s. Hot pants and bell bottoms were the most popular fashion trends. First, the rise of music genres made the need for the Walkman greatly increase. Second, the microprocessor made the PC smaller, faster and possible. Last, the Clean Air Act of 1970 required catalytic converters to be installed in cars.
