My career goal is to serve as a diplomat for the United States, with a focus on our relations with Asia and the Middle East. To accomplish this, I plan to continue to hone my leadership and research skills, interests in international economics and foreign policy, and linguistic talents in Arabic, Chinese, and French during college. Penn is the ideal institution to help me reach this goal.
I am particularly excited by the ability to pursue a major in Economics and a double minor in Chinese and French through Penn’s Economics, East Asian Languages and Civilizations, and Modern Middle Eastern Studies. This unique academic environment will enable me to conduct interdisciplinary research on the economics of U.S.-Chinese competition in Asia and the Middle East, as well as participate in Penn’s study abroad programs in Beijing, China or any of the cities available in the Middle East.
