In order to provide the most up to date nursing treatments I need to keep myself educated. It is the responsibility of the nurse to continue his/hers education. In order to keep informed nurses can read journal articles related to his/hers field of nursing. Annual conferences allow a nurse to learn about the latest procedures, medications, and technology. Conferences are a great way to stay current and involved with other members of the medical field. Provision seven states that knowledge is reciprocal. The hospital that I work in provides me opportunities to stay informed with the latest technology by offering seminars and training sessions demonstrating new technology. The hospital also has a clinical education team on staff 24/7 in case a staff nurse needs additional information. All of the required certifications needed for a particular area are financially covered by the hospital, for example the hospital will pay for trauma course, basic life support classes, etc. Continuing education website is also offered to every nurse in the hospital in order to meet the 30 continuing education units required by the state to renew his/hers nursing license. The hospital I work for also offers incentives for a nurse to continue his/hers education by providing a monetary bonus for professional certifications such
