The ideal, eternal engine becomes short-lived, as the train explodes and brings down all the life within it as well. Only two young tail children, Yona and Timmy, survive and they are finally exposed to the supposedly deadly snow outside (Snowpiercer 2:00:19). Yet, the last image that the audience sees is the polar bear amongst the barren ice age, signifying that life persists and that Yona and Timmy may survive outside. Using this as a resolution to the failed Curtis Revolution is Joon-ho's way to show the decline of the system that keeps Snowpiercer running. As the train is burning in ruins, the appearance of the polar bear becomes a symbol of the triumph of nature over the engine and therefore the entire system it controlled. This reveals…
On 05/26/16, at 8:15pm, I was dispatched to 793 Cherry Bud Drive on a dog being held, no known owner. I arrived at the house and was met by complainant. Complainant stated that she contacted the shelter earlier in the day about the dog. The dog had a 2015 dog tag, we provided an address so she could try to locate the dog owner, her husband took the dog to the listed house but no one was home. The complainant called us a again to pick up the dog. I place a leash on the dog and put her in my van. Dog owner Johnnie Miller reclaimed the dog on 05/28/16. Ms. Miller was unable to show proof of a dog license. Ms. Miller was issued a violation for failure to license.…

All in all, it was a great movie with great direction and acting. The storyline is great and makes it hard to stop watching. It keeps the audience glued to their seat to see what happens at the end of the movie. And, the ending is so appropriate for the movie. It was great writing and what an action drama should be like. The recommendation for this movie could not be higher. It is a true…
The Big difference is the idea of rebellion, While later the book of the Hunger Games address the topic of the rebellion in the district, it really doesn’t address the rebellion in the book of the Hunger Games. In the movie: however, outright rebellion is shown in the districts. In the movie the Hunger Games…
There are 7.2 billion people on Earth and no one is the same. Even though babies are born with no knowledge about their surroundings, they learn and adapt to it as they grow up. Their character keeps changing because of the influence from the outside world. Such major influences are social and political issues. Authors and filmmakers are trying to portray the social/political issues that people from a particular country faces to everyone through their films and novels. Poverty and freedom are the most common issues faced by people in almost every country. The film Hunger Games and McLaughlin’s novel Scored best illustrate these…

The train station show us the is a choice to be made whether to go forward or to go back. Then other taking them left away from to city to keep the baby and live the new life set before them. No one can decide for them because this choice will be the defining moment in there lives, all depending on the train they choose to take.…
The train station itself is another way the writer uses the setting to portray the human condition in this story. The station, a common ground or meeting place, is representative of the relationship between the American and Jig. The tracks leading in and out of the station describe the emotional pathways each of them takes. The American is almost exactly opposite to Jig, free spirited and not wanting a…
Overall, I would recommend this movie because of its moving plot as well as showing mental disability in…
A Christmas Carol, both the play and the movie, have many similarities with just as many differences. Although the movie was created as a follow-up to the play, there were many times where the movie was completely different. On occasion, there would be times where you could follow along to the movie with the script, but most of the time, it would be somewhat the same. The script compared to the movie is more informing and fills in empty holes. Although watching the movie is easier, in order to get all of the facts straight, it would be better to read the script or see the play.…
On the bottom of the cover, only very small is a train, it looks as though it is just simply passing by. Like a normal train does, but considering it is in a poverty…
I won’t write in detail about the story. It would become the synopsis of it if I do so. I chose to share my feeling after watching this movie. The train, 777, with no driver on it moved along the main track was the main character I shall say. Everything was focusing on it and it carried out the message of the story.…
Classes in the movie depend on their tickers. The class system in the train is divided into 3 types; first class, economy class, and low-class passengers, depending on what types of ticket they buy. The latter one are those who board the train for free. Each classes receive different treatment and privileges.…
While the human history is presented in a fictional sense, just like what is mentioned in the quote by Karl Marx, each scene symbolizing a certain stage of evolution roots from the reality and handles similar problems to the issues happening in the 21st century that appeared as the society developed .The story begins with a news of 2014, alarming people that environmentalists decided to diffuse CW7, a chemical that is expected to cool down the temperature of the Earth, into the atmosphere as a solution to counteract global warming. However, the side effects of CW7 results in global ice age and all the living creatures become extinct except for the people who are on Snowpiercer, a massive train. This train powered by a perpetual motion engine is dictated by the owner of the train, Wilford. Moreover, the train depicts a hierarchical society since the habitants of the tail section receive inhumane treatment while the people from the front sections live a luxurious life, throwing parties and taking drugs. This irrational system makes the protagonists, Curtis and Namgoong Minsoo who are from the tail section of the train to revolt, bringing them all the way to the engine compartment. The Snowpiercer and the Fourth Industrial Revolution is similar in a way that both of them are a totally new reality that mankind have to adapt to. The people facing worldwide ice age had to begin their…
