MTPD Officer B Schwotzer was advised by a fellow MTPD Officer that the pit bull resides at 3663 Clearwater Drive. MTPD Officer B. Schwotzer approached the address and was confronted by another dog in a fence in yard. As MTPD Officer B. As I waited for the second deputy warden to arrive, the pit bull sit down, I would than slowly approach the pit bull; I would get within 4-5 feet of the pit bull and it would charge at me. I utilized my OC spray 4 additional times to prevent the dog from attacking me. Additional CPD Officers arrived on location to keep the area secure. Deputy Warden S. Fletcher arrived on scene and assisted me with capturing the dog. CPD Officers alerted me that someone was in the house. CPD Officers knocked on the door; eventually two minors answered the door. Due to the circumstances where there was no adult at the residence, I impounded the dog. The dog did not or was not displaying a Franklin County dog license. I placed the dog in my van, and left a door notice at the…
In 2006, Clayton Harris was pulled over by Officer William Wheetley due to an expired license plate tag. A short time later, the driver returned and left the business heading north on Ladnier Rd. I caught up to the vehicle near University Dr and activated my emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle quickly pulled into the driveway of 2224 University Dr and the driver, Lamicheal Mitchell (DOB 6/6/1988) exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. I exited my patrol car and Mitchell a K9 warning while getting K9 Justice out of my patrol unit. Mitchell stopped and…
2-15-2016 @ 6:25 am. I was beeping my horns when Bill Franicola backed out of the parking space without light on and hit my car. The radio was loud when I walked to gas pump with Bill still in truck he wasn’t aware he hit my car. Harry Feals arrived at 6:27 am. He heard Bill saying he didn’t see my car and apologized to me. After Bill talked to Kelly Police officer she came to Cassel Hall @ 8:15 am. I Gave her insurance information, wrote a police report out and she took pictures. At that time, she didn’t know the protocol for accidents with Pitt vehicles I asked for their insurance card and a copy of accident report saying she would ask Chief Lynch. 2-16-2016 Police Officer Kelly came to the Cassel Hall for a copy of my driver’s licenses.…
Some of these breeds, shockingly, include Golden Retrievers, French Bulldogs, American Bulldogs, German Shepherds, and some cattle herding dogs. Of these 75 dog breeds, 4 are banned or restricted in a few counties in Georgia. In College Park Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, and German Shepherds are banned. In Dawson Pit Bulls are banned. Pit bulls are also banned in Floyd County as well as La Grange, Lawrenceville, and Terrell County. Notice how most counties have banned Pitt Bulls. They are banned because of what they are and not how they behave. This is unfair to the dog and the responsible dog owners. BSL becomes a major hiccup when it comes to guide dogs, therapy dogs, rescue dogs, and drug dogs. Pit bulls, Retrievers, and German Shepherds make excellent dogs for these titles, but they are all on the “dangerous” dog list for BSL. For instance, take this case in Northern Ireland where a bulldog Labrador mixed dog named Lennox had to be put down because he was on the “dangerous” list. He was this little girl’s therapy dog for 5 amazing years and had not bothered anyone. The court had the control to put down any dog that merely looked dangerous and so they did to Lennox, even with 200,000 signatures to petition not to kill him. The family did not even get to say goodbye to Lennox, rather they were sent his ashes in the mail. Despite this fact, organizations still use these dogs because of their…

In the novel of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, a lot of themes are shown for example: friendship, sacrifice, loneliness and insecurities. These themes are exactly the ones for the scene of Candy and His dog. Candy is an old man, lonely and insecure man just like his old dog. They rely a lot on each other. They only have each other and it has been that way for a long time but it will change through progress.…

It all began when a was a little boy and all I wanted was a dog, for years I begged and begged, and still no dog. I felt as if I was incomplete without one, I had even written persuasive essays in school on why I should get a dog and waited and just hoped for it. Finally, when I was in 5th grade, I found a church ministry where we met once month and came up with ideas to raise money for the local rescue. During the meetings, we would also go for a walk, those who had animals would walk them. One time, somebody from the rescue came with one of the rescue dogs for the walk, which inspired me to go to the rescue and check it out.…
It was a relaxing day at home in the Helfman household. My mom was constantly jabbering on the phone, my dad’s eyes were glued to his computer working, and my brother was stuck to his bed and never got up. My brother, Danny had gotten into Syracuse University a few months earlier and he was ecstatic about the life he was going to make for himself. Danny and I got along well our whole lives, but we weren’t as close as some other siblings. This upset me because sometimes all I wanted to do was talk to my brother and get his advice. I have three dogs. My dogs Sadie, Tootsie, and Lucky are cuddly and soft toy poodles.…
Although there are many challenges that people go through, my biggest one was when my dog died. It was an alluring summer day and my mom, sister, and I had been woken by the sound of my three legged dog who had a tumor on her leg.…
