An Awfully Big Adventure Play Summary

The play An Awfully Big Adventure directed by Colleen Rua held in the Rondeliue Campus Center is a comedy drama that follows a young boy who is trying to grow up. In my version of the play the boy was in trouble and they were trying to kill hook. When I first entered the play we had to find our character. I followed Twin 11 so my character was standing by an easel on the left side. We played a game early on where we had to draw something and see if the other people could guess what we drew. I was very aware that he was acting in character because I could tell that he was trying to act like a little id. I thought he did a good job because he changed his voice and tone to match a little kid. Even when people asked him question hi response were quick and stayed into character. His costume was a half ripped shirt and shorts. I thought the costumes were well designed and the set was set up well. Each room we went into I was able to see were we were and I was aware of the atmosphere they were trying to make the audience feel.
The only knowledge of the story I had was the little excerpt on the website that I bought the ticket. As I was walking around the set I was so confused on what the story line is. At the end of the play we were handed the playbill were I could read more of the story and understand the flow of the play. Also since we were split into different groups with different story lines I could not talk to anyone after about what went on.
