People do things that could be normal for them on a daily basis, but others might find them strange or weird. The letter An Indian Father's Plea Robert Lake (Medicine Grizzlybear), is about how a man’s child was trying to adjust his new life from India to America. The school had announced that his son was a “slow learner” which made the father take action. The letter he writes explains that his son can learn things from what the traditional people had taught him. He also describes how his son started to change himself to fit in with the other kids.
