1. Analysis of the literal story
A king canceled the debts of one of his servants, because the servant did beg him and promise to pay him back. But the servant did not cancel the debts of his fellow servant as the king did to him, and did not show any mercy to the man. In the end, he was thrown into prison by the king.
The king promised to cancel the debts of this servant, but later he changed his mind and put the servant into prison. Although the servant did something bad, it can’t be denied that the king did not keep his word.

His fellow servant----men who beg others for forgiving them
Debts----men’s sins, moral or legal mistakes
The king took pity on the servant, canceled the debt----when people admit their sins sincerely and pray for God’s forgiveness, God will forgive them and will free them from the punishments they would have received.
The servant refused to be patient with his fellow servant and had the man thrown into prison----when someone sins against people, they often rejected to forgive that man, sometimes they will get the man into a bigger trouble secretly.
The master angrily turned the servant over to the jailers----when everybody is alive, there is no doubt that he/she will sin against others, and at this moment, if he/she does not forgive others, they will be punished by God for their sins seriously.
3. The theme(s)
After someone sins against us, we need to forgive him/her from the bottom of our heart.
4. Application
Here Jesus required Peter to forgive his brother sincerely as much as he can.
Now, we are also sometimes offended by others. What’s more, people who offend you always will not discover the fact. Therefore, follow Jesus ,forgive others in your heart.
