Title: Atonement

Main Characters:
Briony Tallis: The narrator (Revealed at the end that the story is actually her telling as atonement for the events in the story. She is a teenager of about thirteen at the beginning of the story. By the end she is about eighteen. Briony is known for her imagination and fantasizing with reality. A Playwright, story teller and naïve girl.
Cecilia Tallis: Cecilia is the sister of Briony. She is romantically involved with the character Robbie Turner. Cecilia is about 23 years old. At the time she has attended college and gotten some sort of degree which is rare in the time period for women especially.
Robbie Turner: The “Errand boy” and helper for certain work in the Tallis residence. His college is being paid off by Jack Tallis (Husband of Emily Tallis. See below.) He is looking into the field of medicine and becoming a doctor. However due to the events in the books he never accomplishes it and becomes a soldier because of being accused of a rape.
Paul Marshall: A friend of Briony’s brother Leon. He is involved in the military, and entrepreneur of chocolate casing of sugar, and a rapist (His victim being Lola Quincy. See Below.)
Leon Tallis: Brother of Briony Tallis. He is involved in the military, and has come home for a visit.
Lola Quincy: Cousin of Briony, Cecilia and Leon Tallis. She is visiting because her parents are going through a divorce and has been sent to her aunt’s, house with her two younger brothers (Jackson and Perriot. See Below.) Lola was the rape victim of Paul Marshall.
Perriot and Jackson Quincy: Twin brothers of Lola Quincy. They have a hard time adjusting to the new home they are at and run away causing a search and another series of events.
Emily Tallis: Mother of Briony, Cecilia, and Leon Tallis. Suffers of what seems to be chronic Migraines. Seems a
