Analysis Of Bank Reconciliation Of Banco De Oro
As days passed, I’m getting used on my daily routines being a trainee and as I get used to it, I am also loving my work, I feel excited to go to work every day and finish all tasks given to me. Last Monday, I started my day doing the Bank Reconciliation of Banco de Oro. It is where a report of bank balance as per company's accounting records compares with the balance stated in the bank statement. Before I started this task, my supervisor told me that I should know first what the purpose of reconciling is. The purpose of preparing a Bank Reconciliation Statement is to detect any discrepancies between the accounting records of the entity and the bank besides those due to normal timing differences. Such discrepancies might exist due to an error …show more content…
At first, I thought that it is one of the easiest task that was given to me at that time but I’m perfectly wrong, it took so much of my time. I just need to modify the format of the journals like inserting rows between the totals, adding columns and double ruling of the totals. There are instances that many checks are needed to record on the front, it can record on the back and transfer the total on the front. Then, total the currency, check and the total from the back. After that, I need to mark the other documents related to check deposit “Received” and put my signature as the representative of the accounting department. I am so lucky to have this opportunity so that even in simple transactions with my family, I can do it with my own without any assistance of an employee of the bank. In just a week, I can truly say that employees in the Terry Selection where I am assigned treat everyone as a family. I am fortunate to be welcomed by them as part of their family, currently, six of them in the main office have a birth month of April and we celebrated it last Thursday. I don’t need to buy my meals and snacks that day. I am so thankful that I can really feel that I am part of their family, they always told me that I should be comfortable with them and just enjoy my internship in the
