Analysis Of Brighton, Michigan
Brighton, Michigan is the home to 7,949 people, the town is located in the Southeast of Livingston County in the United States. As I did some demographic research on the Brighton area, I found a lot of interesting information. Brighton was established in 1832, and according to the source of Virgil A. Fitch, the city received its name from Brighton, New York. The founder of Brighton, Michigan Elijah Fitch is said he named the town after the area where his father resided. As I look at the city of Brighton today, I can see it is a home to all, it is where families are made, people are born and a place where people come together as a community. In this area, the median gross rate is $905, and the median household income is $60,967. Looking at these numbers we can see that Brighton is an expensive place to live, and if you do not have high paying job then it can be rather difficult to live in this area. I was interested in knowing what the prices are for each kind of living environment in the Brighton community. I had found that the condo value is $194,497, detached houses are $209,908, townhouses are $162,828, four unit housing is at $210,990 and mobile homes are at …show more content…
I had chosen Spencer Elementary school, it is located on Spencer rd and it is in the Livingston county area. Spencer elementary is a regular public school and it has about 27.10 teachers, 440 students and the student teacher ratio is 16.24. As I look how the children are enrolled into this elementary, I am in total shock on how they are enrolled by race and gender. As I looked at enrollment by race, I had see that 415 children in the school were whites, there were 4 blacks, 5 Asian/ Pacific Islander and 13 Hispanics. According to the enrollment by gender there are 229 males and 211 females at Spencer elementary. Then I looked at how many children are in each grade at Spencer, in the kindergarten class there are 79 children, in the first grade their is 116, second grade has 83, third grade has 69 and fourth grade has 93 students. Spencer is a title 1 school, and it offers free lunches to 62 students and even offers reduce price lunches for about 14 students that attend to Spencer

    Princess Elisabeth Research station (Belgium), Antarctica 71*57’ S-23*20’E. That is exactly where mystery city #7 is located. One of the clues the website journeynorth.com gave us was “We are located on a continent that is one of the coldest places on Earth. It is also one of the driest, considered to be mostly desert; but don’t expect to see sand.” This clue really helped because it pretty much told us our city was in Antarctica, but now we had to find out where in Antarctica. And clue number 2 kind of helped us with that. "We are located on part of a nunatak, almost 200 km from the coastline. We see petrels and skuas from time to time. Sorry we can't be more specific about the country we're located in -- there are no countries here (or states, or cities)!" This clue really just told us that it was pretty close to the shore. But clue number 3 told us where in Antarctica our city was. "Down here our location isn't in a state or province, but Norway might say our location is within the boundaries of land which it claimed on this continent many decades ago." We looked online at Norway claimed Antarctica and then knew where our city was around. The last Clue number 4 was the one that really helped. The clue was "Our place looks like a spaceship floating in a sea of white. We operate on renewable energy like wind and solar, so we are also green." And a picture was involved. The picture helped us out so much because what we did was take our guesses and put it in Google images and if the picture matched the we knew we had it. And we did, we found it on our 3rd try. That’s how we found out our mystery city.…
