Analysis Of Day Of The Dead By Angel Quintana

"Day Of The Dead (Death)" is a piece by Angel Quintana created in 2017. On a 24 x 20 canvas she used acrylic paint to create this potrait. In this piece a woman appears to be sitting in a chair in front of a red wall and two unidentified objects. One being a solid white color and the other a mixture of the colors pink, red, black, green and grey. The womans jet black hair, which is the exact same color as the beaded necklace around her neck, is accompained by a purple flower. All the while her face is decoratively painted in a colorful festive pattern, that resembles a skull in the colors green, red and black. In this piece she made sure to incorporate a few art elements. While there are more that have been used more frequently than others
