Analysis Of Rafael Trujillo's Regime In The Feast Of The Goat
Does Rafael Trujillo’s reign of terror reflect on the majority of dictatorships in the world or is it only an extreme case? The Feast of The Goat contains a variety of themes and ideas related to Rafael Trujillo’s regime, as well as power and its corrupting influence within the Dominican government. A dictatorship refers to government or a social situation where one person makes all the rules and decisions without input from anyone else, the Trujillo regime is a strong representation of this. Trujillo is in desperate need for power and he will do anything to get it. Trujillo is presented as charismatic, with a penetrating gaze, holding his subordinates in awe.
