Biggie Smalls, real name Christopher Wallace, was famously quoted saying that after a car crash he had previously been in. He went on to talk about how the accident had changed his perspective on life. He also mentioned his fears that came with the territory of him rapping “gangsta rap” and how dangerous it was. First of all, several sources say Marion “Suge” Knight had Biggie killed to throw the LAPD off his scent for the Tupac murder case, which he had been a prime suspect in (Wittmer). Furthermore, there was an investigator on Biggie’s case, Russell Poole, who accused other LAPD members of being connected to Suge Knight and his label, Death Row Records (Winton). Poole had thought Knight planned Biggie’s murder for revenge for Tupac’s murder (Wittmer). Some people believe Diddy had Biggie killed as a publicity stunt for B.I.G’s album “Life after Death.” A former bodyguard of Diddy’s believes he was behind Biggie's death and so does his mother. Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, claims she has “a very good idea” on who killed her son to The Daily Mail. On the other hand, the idea that Diddy would do something like getting Wallace killed is highly unlikely since Biggie and Combs were very close and have gone on to say that they consider each other as brothers.
