Analysis Of The Poem 'America Is Not America'
1. The author states throuought the poem that the America is not what it is supposed to be. He expresses how America is not equal and does not return favors to everyone, for many people including himself, they have yet to see what the american dream is all about. It is for this reason I believe this poem reflects the overall fale interpretation of the American dream.
2. He's refering to other groups like himself; such as, African Americans, Indians, and other immigrants who come to America expecting freedom and equality. The line "America is not America" is refering to the dissapointment of these ethnic groups, who have been dicriminated against, and therefor harshy reflects on the ideal of the American dream.
