No one believes her so they leave Georgia and start heading to Florida. While on the trip the grandmother gets the children excited about a old plantation that she used to go to. They turn on an old dirt road where the plantation is supposed to be. The grandmother realizes that the plantation was in Tennessee, not in Georgia. Upset from her mistake she kicks her feet, causing her cat to startle her son who was driving. Since the driver was startled a bad accident occurred. They wait for someone to come along and help them out, except that help turns out to be the Misfit. The Misfit gets his two men to kill the family in the woods.
