Ancient Egypt Essay

I am doing my history paper on Egypt. The reason why I did my paper on ancient Egypt is because Egypt is a very interesting place to study and the culture is very appealing. Egypt is a social hierarchy so, that means that they have pharaoh not kings and queens . They have a chief minister and a supervised government . The other socials are merchants, artisans, soldiers and scribes . The social was listed from high society and low society so that means from peasants, slaves to pharaoh , gods and goddesses. The slaves were not really prisoners of war some of them were criminals . So, slaves were not the only ones to build the monuments and statues in egypt. Slavery in egypt did not mean any type of ownership .

Hieroglyphics was their way of communicating . Hieroglyphics was their system of writing. Each symbol had a meaning. So there language was not hard at all to read.
The Nile river is located in africa but the people in Egypt still used the Nile as one of their main sources to get food and water.. The Nile river is about 4,258 miles. So there was plenty of food and water.Egypt is located in Africa , The nile river played an important role in ancient egypt history.
Ancient egypt is known for their very large and beautiful monuments. The pyramid was built in 2630 BCE- 2611BCE. The Great Sphinx was built in 2500 BC. The pyramid was built to store the high ranking people of egypt when they die. The sphinx was built for khare during his reign.
The religion that the people of ancient Egypt worshiped was polytheism , so that means that they worship many gods. They worshiped over two thousand gods and goddesses. One of the many gods that were worshiped was Amun. Amun was worshipped throughout the whole country, unlike other gods or goddesses . The most important gods were Horus the sky god, Amon-Ragod was focused to be the sun god, Osiris was the god of the underworld. All of the those gods were focused on the basis of
