Andrea Katz Interview

Set in the heart of the big apple, Andrea Sachs an English major graduate from Brown University, she moves to New York and is ready to explore all that the city has to offer. Andrea’s dream is to work for The New Yorker and she is willing to work her way up to the positions. Andy begins by sending her resume to every possible magazine industry in Manhattan, she lands an interview at the Elisa- Clark Group for the position of a junior assistent for Miranda Priestly.
“A million girls would die for this job” though she knows very little about fashion, she lands the job at the fashion magazine Runway. Andrea does not understand why millions of girl would want a job where your boss is a complete devil who orders you to “get her coffee, pick up the dry cleaning, reschedule her lunch reservation!” Never with a please or thank you, why would any girl put up with this? For most girls in New York Miranda is known as the queen of fashion, although after Andrea learns that after working a year for Miranda she would be able to choose a job for herself in the magazine industry. The New Yorker was calling her name,
Life takes a turn and Lily sinks into a drinking problem due to the absence of her best friend, though Andrea completely denies it claiming Lily had always enjoyed a drink or two. Alex later on questions Andrea’s commitment to her boss other than her family and friends causing them to break up when Andrea announces she must take the spot of Emily (who was unbearably sick) and travel to Paris with Miranda to fashion week. Everyone is extremely disappointed with Andreas decision, however close to the end of the year with Miranda Andrea was not going to give up now, she had put in too much time and effort to lose it all
