Andy comes back

- Andy, or Andrew who is his real name, is an middle aged man, who is suffering from a rare disease. He had survived it, but has now lost his mind. A lot of medical experts have tried to cure him, but it didn't worked as hoped. He 'shouted down'. Then he lied in a hospital bed for some weeks, until the hospital needed his bed, that's why he has been shifted to a nursing home. In five years he have been drooling around and checked for bowels everyday, but now he is recovering from the disease and being able to live besides other people. He is in an awkward position when he wakes up, because he have been unable to do anything from himself.It's like he have two different personality. The first one, Andy, is this person who can't be controlled, but even though needs help for almost everything. While the other person, Andrew, is this good man who knows how to do stuff.
Andy was a loving husband and a father of three before got the rare disease. His wife Brom aren't happy to see Andy, even though he is recovering. Andy has missed some of the most important years in his children life. The oldest seemed very uninterested in him. Example page 4, line 140: "See you later, dad," he said, and went up to his room." While the two youngest are talking to him, and asking how he is feeling.
When Andy is returning home, he don't really fell like it is his home anymore. An example page 3, line 116: "The house was a single mother's place now. Everything of his had been removed. He found this interesting, but didn't mind much."

- Andy's wife Brom, or Bromwyn, is a middle aged woman who is, of course, wife to Andy, and mother to the three children she have together with Andy. When she is visiting Andy at the nurse house, it's like she is more angry than delighted that Andy is recovering. An example page 2, line 67: "She seemed quite content, steaming ahed without really noticing him, like a primary school inspector breezing though a class of cheerfully

    Ann experiences a wealth of difficulties caring for Angus, she encounters emotional, physical, mental, social and financial demands as she tries to fulfil her role as carer. Ann was thrown into the role of carer when her mother had asked her to take of Angus on her deathbed. It was a role expected of Ann, she was the woman in the house and it was a role she had not been trained for.
