they’ve never been to their natural habitat how would they react? They need to learn how to live and strive off the natural resources of the land in order to survive. Most animals being put back into the wild will not adapt back into their natural habitat and will not be able to survive for long. In most cases. Some animals come back with no problem. But, should we really be taking the risk? Animals belong in the wild. They shouldnt have to be kept in small spaces where they cant suceed and excell in their lifestyle. When being kept in zoos and in captivity it is hard for animals to be away from the wild and to not be free. If we were locked up in cages and not able to do what we wanted, how would we react? It should be the same for animals. Some people would argue that keeping animals locked up in zoos and in captivity would be considered animal cruelty. But, besdies all the disadvantages of animals being kept in captivity their are some advantages. One advantage would be protecting endangered species so their kind can still be existent. Lots of species are endangered or threatened due to drastic climate change and resources becoming low. So, in the case being that animals being held in captivity could save ones species it could be very helpful. Another advantage of having animals in captivity would be that they were recieving a proper diet. In the wild you never can predict that animals are getting their full nutrients and needs to go on in life. In captivity, you could make sure that all animals are fed and recieving the correct amount of nutrients each day so they can live. Safety is also a big key in captivity.
In the wild you are almost never safe. You are always someones prey or you are the predatotor. That’s just the way things are in the wild. They will do what they have to do to survive. Which has consequences. In captivy, you can keep the animals safe and away from danger let alone if they were in the wild you could do nothing to help them. For example, in zoos they separate animals for one anothers safety. If one gorilla is not getting along with another gorilla they would not keep them both in the same area of course. They would separate them until they were sure that everyone would be safe in the
area. Their are many advantages and disadvantages of having animals held in captivity and these were just a couple of examples. I can see peoples point of view on this situation whether not to have them in captivity or not. Which is why this is a big debate. Myself personally, if I was an animal going through this I would rather be in the wild than being held prisoner in some cell for testing and for people to look at. It would be downgrading to me. If we have human rights, why can’t we have animal rights?
