After the dissection is over, the scientist must clean up thoroughly to ensure safety and keep the instruments in good condition. Scientists must carefully remove all of the protective clothing and then wash their hands and ensure that nothing from the specimen is on their skin. The scientists must then rinse and dry the tools that were used in the dissection and put them away in the proper place. Finally, the scientists must then properly dispose of all wastes from the dissection, which might require different different things depending on where it takes place.
