Animal Farm The author George Orwell captures characteristics in all of the animals and relate them to individuals who corrupt our society today as well as the civilians who has to live with the aftermath of the corruption. Growing up in England during the early 1900’s and being surrounded by the unfair class system really inspired him to compose the short novel “Animal Farm” (Yabroff). George Orwell was a very unique character, he was not afraid to point out the flaws of society with the help of his writing. He was born June 25, 1903 in Motihari, India. The brutal approach he took to really make sure to get his vision across of how dictators act as well as how much they value their power. The animals on the farm were so passionate about breaking free from the pain and suffering that their owner caused them only to get chained up tighter than before. Power is a very dangerous in the wrong person's hands. Napoleon leads them to freedom only to be blinded by all of the power now available for him to just snatch. The power hungry tyrants still exist in our modern society. Napoleon took a very ruthless approach when he was trying to take over the farm and transform the newly freed animals into loyal follower. “The watchdogs are always keeping them tamed” (Seidel). Establishing fair among the animals, let him have all of the power and abuse it as he wished. Due to our involvement over time, dictators now a days will not be able to control a country simply by trying to make their people fear them. Being that North Korea is still a communist country they have a dictating leader by the name of Kim Jong-un (Korea DPRK). He keeps his power over the Korean people by isolating the country from the outside world. The people of North Korea do not have access to the internet nor technology in general which makes it impossible for them to communicate with the rest of the world. (Korea DPRK).
