Animals Hurt Just Like Us Animal cruelty is one of the most heartless acts of abuse all over the world. Although some animals nature is rough and harmful to people, no animal deserves to be cruelly treated in an inhumane fashion, there are different ways to keep the harmful animals from harming anyone in a humane fashion. Animal cruelty is one of most sicken crimes to me, how someone can hurt an innocent animal and barely get any type of punishment is beyond me and is just as sicken as the crime. Animal cruelty should be considered a felony instead of a misdemeanor because hurting an animal causes just as much pain as hurting a person. Harming a person is considered a felony why not harming an animal. Forcing dogs and chickens to fight, setting fire to animals, and violently hurting an animal are examples of why animal cruelty should become a felony and not a misdemeanor.

You are considered an associate to murder if it’s a person, but why not as an animal? As of right now animal cruelty is considered a misdemeanor, which is no more than a year of jail time. Animals are just like us, they have feelings and hurt. If a person beats, or kills another person it’s
