Ankh Symbolism Essay
The picture attached contains the symbol I chose that happens to be critical to me. The image is called an Ankh; the clear majority know this image from relating to the Ancient Egyptians. The Ankh is known as key of life or the key of the Nile and was likewise the old Egyptian hieroglyphic character that remained for eternal life. From the profound perspective, the Ankh spoke to the way to all concealed learning. The circle symbolized the endless soul as it has no start or end. Egyptian divine beings are frequently depicted conveying it by its circle, or bearing one in every hand, arms traversed their trunk. Another reality about this one of a kind image is that it is known as the first cross, which is a capable image that was initially made

Another motif is circles and spirals in the film, they have been incorporated throughout the film, from the various extreme close ups of clocks to the logos upon buildings. Examples of these are the Bolle sign on the wall behind the phone booth where Manni waits for Lola and the spinning spiral at the Spirale Bar. These circles all represents the film’s dominant message that life is circular and cynical; beginnings are the end of which came previous and endings are the new beginnings. The image of the spiral is used in the film to represent misperception and worry.…

The use of symbol to express human understandings of God is useful because it can hold a deeper meaning than can be described using words. The Christian symbol of the crucifix for example, reminds people of Jesus’ death on the cross, but the deeper meaning that can be gotten from this is the idea of Jesus’ as a sacrifice he made for our sins.…

Symbols can change over time such as the iron cross, Celtic cross, pentagrams, and stars. And as graphic designers it is important to realize the education and history of design in order to communicate a clear message to the audience. Graphic designers must appreciate design matters and become familiar with the nature and impact of visual communications such as powerful logos like the swastika. As graphic designers we must become aware of the impact designs have on the world and what visual language is being used to convey the message. Designs can produce different economic and social benefits and consequences. Just as Hitler stole the symbol of the swastika from mankind and used it for his evil ways against humanity for many years, I believe the symbol still has power to redeem its beauty and mysteriousness and place itself back to where it deserves among other great symbols in…

The pentagram was also a featured symbol on an ancient Jewish seal and represented the secret names of God. Furthermore, in early Christianity the pentagram was used as a symbol to represent the five wounds of Christ. In addition, it was believed that the star of Bethlehem was shaped as a pentagram. In addition, the pentagram was believed to be a protective symbol, and was more common than the cross symbol at this…

Spirit is both male and female and it's said to be the mother of the other four elements. The Gods that represent it are Akasha, Iao, and JHVH. The Goddesses that represent it are Isis and Shekinah. The colors that represent it are purple and black. Purple represents the psychic abilities and black because it is the combination of all colors. Some see it as also being the color white since it is timeless and pure essence. The symbol for Akasha is the star which one of the oldest symbols that man has ever used. On the pentagram the top point represents the spirit which is Akasha, and the circle around the pentagram also is said to represent it because it pulls all of the elements together. It is the spark of inspiration that is in all of us, it gives us hindsight and foresight and it never judges. It gives us our hopes for tomorrows and promises of the furture. We can not control it but it is with us in everything we do, and with each intention we send forth. It has no form, taste or smell so some have difficuties connecting with it. But with each action we take we use the energy of Akasha since it is in everything of this world and beyond. We all…

There is a similar method of representing the universal content by means of numbers, lines and geometric figures. These are figurative, but not concretely so, as in the case of myths. Thus it may be said that eternity is a circle, the snake that bites its own tail. This is only an image, but Mind does not require such a symbol. There are people who value such methods of representation, but these forms do not go far. The most abstract determinations can indeed be thus expressed, but any further progress brings about confusion. Just as the freemasons have symbols which are esteemed for their depth of wisdom—depth as a brook is deep when one cannot see the bottom—that which is hidden very easily seems to men deep, or as if depth were concealed beneath. But when it is hidden, it may possibly prove to be the case that there is nothing behind. This is so in freemasonry, in which everything is concealed to those outside and also to many people within, and where nothing remarkable is possessed in learning or in science, and least of all in Philosophy. Thought is, on the contrary, simply its manifestation; clearness is its nature and itself. The act of manifestation is not a condition which may be or may not be equally, so that thought may remain as thought when it is not manifested, but its manifestation is itself, its Being.…
