This article is about how games affect people, if they benefit or learn from it, or if these games just kill brain cells. Bibliography: and Memory Laboratory where the conduct studies of the effects of video game exposure to a person affects his cognitive control. The paper is about how video games affect a person 's ability to relate with others. It focuses on the how video gaming experiences contribute to negative proactive cognitive control. This read gave me an idea on why some gamers were socially inclined, while others prefer to stay in the background and just stay quiet and be alone. This one focuses on behavior around other people. I like it because I’ve always misunderstood gamers, and the others do not explain much about their relational skills. Carnagey, Nicholas L. et al (2006). The effect of video game violence on physiological desensitization to real-life violence. The paper discusses how violent video games affect a person 's behavior and if they manifest violence and show aggression in the real world after playing such video games. I learned that not all people who are exposed to video game or media violence turn violent. I think it depends on the person if he wants to get influenced from the game, to mimic what the game shows. This is just like the next source, discussing about what kind of behavioural problems violent gaming brings about. Anderson, Craig A. (2003). An update on the effects of playing violent video games. Anderson is a professor at Iowa State University with a PhD from Stanford University. This talks about what kind of violence these people show after exposure to violet games. Youths under the age of 18 are more vulnerable to the increase of violent thoughts and behavior than those who are older than them. I learned that there were many incidents in the past few years in the United States that may have been linked to video game violence, such as school shooting sprees and homicides. Unlike the previous source, this one provided examples of what kind of things people who might have been exposed to violent games are capable of.
