In this article, the author Adrian Clark has discussed the large impact of Francis Bacon among the contemporary abstract art in Britain. Being a modern artist, Bacon’s works reflected his wrestling against the social issues that appointed to modernity. Bacon is perfect at balancing the figuration and abstraction in his works. This article has provided an idea of the status of Bacon’s art in Britain, and is helpful to my essay to review the impact of his works.

This paragraph of the research paper points put that Francis Bacon rejects the traditional way to express human bodies in stasis, but rather interprets human bodies with emanation and pulsation.
After collecting some psychoanalytic and philosophical views from different researches, the author examines that motion and energy are essential elements in Bacon's works. By representing lived reality in 2 dimensional surfaces, the continuous motion resulted in torsion and tension. The article has provided useful information for my essay to get to know more about Bacon's intention for his artistic creations from different angles and area.

This art critic mainly delivers the author's views on seeing Francis Bacon's well-known triptych "The Studies of Human Body". The author writes that Bacon's figures are highly disturbing, however, these disturbing images are strangely healing. The paradox of Bacon’s paintings surprisingly provides viewers with joy and relief. The author actually has a lot of same ideas as me on seeing Bacon's works. Therefore, I found this art critic could help me make a louder statement in my essay.

This journal has referred to the interview of Francis Bacon.
The interview revealed that Francis Bacon thinks photographs are triggers of his inspiration of art creation. Working with photographs help Bacon to build his own trail in modern art and extended from other contemporary artists. The journal also mentioned that Francis Bacon looked at photographs while painting rather than looking them in advance. Photographs led Bacon a path to wander to his imagination. This source explains Bacon’s source of ideas and methods used on his paintings, which would support my essay when I evaluate his works of art.

This journal is not only focus on Francis Bacon but by comparing Beckett and Bacon on the topic "abstraction". The author uses some interview from Francis Bacon and cited some of his own saying to illustrate his own idea on his art -- a mix of abstract and concrete body figures. The journal also introduced some plays or art that Bacon seen before, which gives me ideas to track Bacon's source of inspiration and get to know his intention better. Putting compare and contrast of Bacon and other artist would also deliberate the uniqueness of Bacon's
art.
