Murder capital of the world? In both 2009 and 2012 the great city of New Orleans was label as the most dangerous city in the United States. Despite the cruel critics and misconception of New Orleans, that didn’t stop the hundreds of thousands of tourist from visiting. New Orleans may be label as a lot of things but most importantly this city is label as the biggest tourists’ attraction in the world. On average about 6 million tourist visit yearly and spend a little over a billion dollars, it’s no denying that these people enjoy themselves here in the Big Easy.
Many call New Orleans the greatest place on the planet, other refer to it as a get away from the norm. One of the main attraction in the city is the French Quarters. The historical sensory, Portis, live jazz bands, thousands of people and great food is a sight guaranteed to take your breath away. Along the Decatur strip (located directly in the middle of the French quarter) is hundreds of boutiques, leading to the famous Café Du Monde. This is a great place to enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful setting, while absorbing New Orleans finest beignets. Farther down in the Quarters are beautiful condos overlooking the entire downtown New Orleans and the peaceful Mississippi river. These Condos are the home of many famous people who are often spotted enjoying themselves with others in the French Quarters.
Another great place in this wonderful city is Canal St. Connected with Decatur and the French quarter Canal Street is home of the famous Bourbon St. Bourbon Street is known for its unforgettable nights. “What happens on Bourbon, stays on Bourbon” is the line the locals like to King2 use. Parting, drinking, dancing and having the time of your life is exactly what you will experience down on Bourbon. This type of fun, you will encounter nowhere else but in here in The Big Easy.
