My desire to attend the USC School of Cinematic Arts stems from an innate passion to reach a broader audience and make a positive difference. I went to Renaissance High School located in Baltimore, Maryland where only an average of 20% of the senior class graduates annually. Trying to inspire kids entrenched in a culture of poverty similar to what my grandfather did was challenging; however, it only made me want to work harder. I was filled with enthusiasm, as I was able to carry out my grandfather’s mission by inspiring the uninspired. I was able to encourage them to recognize and fulfill their goals by providing them with resumes, college applications, and scholarships. My experience in Baltimore has given me a colorful background to feature real-world insights that will be invaluable to the film
