Anthony Orchard is an apple producing organization that has an objective of attaining $25 million revenue, by the end of the year 2015. For this reason, in order for the firm to achieve its set goal, and then it has to have a systematic plan as well as strategies that will help it achieve its set goals. Because the firm always employees more than 300 employees in a year, then it has to employ the use of a balanced scorecard to manage the performance of its employees. Balanced scorecard is a management and a strategic planning system that is in use all over the world in our businesses, industry, government agencies and non-profit organizations (NGO). For instance the geographical factors; Geographical factors are stumbling blocks to the production of quality fruits that can fully meet the customer’s expectations. There are several factors that geographically affect apple production. The firm should provide enough flow of water for its crops in order for the firm to produce quality products at any given time. In addition, the company also needs to ensure that it controls the climatic conditions for its plantations by providing that it has a green house in place. Finally, the company also should ensure that its crops get enough nutrients so as to produce as per the expectation of the management. In order to ensure that all the geographical factors that the firm’s to take into consideration, the management should also ensure that they have a balanced scorecard to rate the effectiveness of each factor. Industrial sector under which Anthony's orchard firm operates is also another area that the management has to put into consideration. Since the industry producing apples is expanding, and the number of companies is increasing, Anthony Orchard company should ensure that its has competent strategies to beat its competitors in the industry. The company should also ensure that it has a balanced scorecard to rate the company’s position and that of its competitors. In addition, the company should also carry out market research on producing more products. However, the company should also ensure that it expands its market through involving on-line marketing strategies. Sector and specific data are another area that the firm has to put into consideration in its balance score card. It is because, most companies are emerging, and the firm cannot be particular about the figures or the numbers of its customers. Tayler (2010) says that BSC will enable a company to focus on financial, internal and customer business
