Apology: The Black Cocker Spaniel
Have you ever accidentally stepped on one of your animals before? You're walking then all the sudden you hear them cry out of nowhere, and you realize you stepped on their tail or paw. To animal lovers, it's pretty much heart wrenching and well deserving of a thorough apology.

My dog, Pepper, is a black Cocker Spaniel, and she loves to greet her owners at the door when we walk in. Her little butt starts wagging really fast, and she has the biggest smile on her face. On Friday the 13th, I was walking inside my house with a friend. I wasn't thinking of my little dog being right there. When I stepped inside, I heard a loud squeal. Pepper quickly ran from me, and my mom rushed to the door. I realized that I had accidentally stepped on my poor puppy's paw. I

I wrote this essay with my dog and cat as the subject because they are a very special part of my life. They are like sisters to me but a different species. My apologies to them are like apologies to a person; they just forgive me faster. Even though I wrote this essay on my animals and overall this writing has a cute and endearing overtone, confessing an apology can be heavy. Apologizing for something that you did can be difficult at times and it can potentially give a morose vibe, it is essential in your life. People need to apologize for things that they have done, whether that be intentional or not. That is what humans do, we mess up sometimes and apologies can be crucial for mending relationships or it can just be polite on a daily basis.

So yes, I felt terrible about stepping on Peppers's paw and Chloe's tail, but they still love me and I love them. I affectionately apologized to them. Apologies are needed in the daily lives of those around the globe, including your life. Have you accidentally stepped on one of your animals before? Or, think about a time where you needed to apologize for something, something serious or something

I was in my room with my dog, Sunny. I was telling her I will see her tomorrow because I was going to my friend's house to stay the night with my friends. I packed my bag and I was off. Soon everyone was there. It was 8:00. We were bored. so I said let's play truth or dare. My friend dared me to mix stuff together and drink all of it. So I mixed toothpaste, a dead mantis, sprite, and canned dog food. So I mixed them and started to drink it. It tasted nasty! After I felt sick. Suddenly I fell to the floor. The misconception of the pit-bull has always been controversial to most people. Most of the public refers to the breed as mean and vicious. It is unfair that they judge the breed based on rumors and hearsay rather than base it on hard facts. These rumors make it hard for current owners and potential owners to adopt or own this breed. The pit-bull has the same right to become a loving pet as any other animal does.…

I regretted that I hadn't spoken up and flat out said, "Hey, can we talk about our misunderstanding, and like, maybe you could apologize for thinking the worst of me so this elephant will leave and go sit at someone else's table?" But finally, I had to just focus on being grateful for the get together. I focused on the fact that the friendship is, apparently, still intact, we had a pleasant, albeit somewhat awkward visit, and shared some laughs. Most importantly, relatively speaking, it was just a baby elephant. So while he was still taking up a lot of space, it didn't squash me, only playfully, but annoyingly thumped me on the head with his…

The next morning Chico was a sad sight to be seen. He tried to bark and me but eventually stopped. You would think I would enjoy the silence, but I didn't. Sure, he had been corrected: but at what price? Before I moved in, he was a happy, carefree dog and now becuase of my awkwardness has got his balls chopped off, which caused an unsufferable itch he wasn't able to scratch, and if he felt pissed off by any of this, he would get a mighty great shock off it too. With all our differneces aside, I felt pretty damn shitty to say the…

Have you ever been ran over by your dog? Well if not then you can just listen to my story. I was about five years of age when this tragedy happened. Hi! I’m Ramona, the Cocker Spaniel from Iowa, named after the Beverly Clearly books. When my mom takes me shopping with her - like all the freaking time - everyone tells me how sweet and pretty I am. I mean, I love the attention and pets - my butt wiggles like it’s nobody’s business - but I kinda feel odd when they tell me I’m sweet. Cause I’m not. I’m Sassy, Mouthy, Rambunctious, and oh boy do I have a temper! Mom says I’m “stress reactive” or something like that. I just know that when I get REAAAALLY excited, I can’t contain myself so I get a little snarky and snarly.…

My mom never screamed at me before and when she screamed he blamed me for letting him go outside without his permission. One sunny day, we were remodeling the living room so it can be more babyproof now that my brother was taller and could walk and run perfectly. We left the door open because it was too cold in the living room. We were moving the couch as we told Andres to move over so we don’t locate the couch on his feet. We were so busy moving the furniture that we totally forgot the baby of the family was walking towards the door. When we put the couch in our desired spot, we noticed Andres walking toward the street. We ran after him as quickly as we could as we saw a car moving in Andres’s direction. My dad sprinted like a track and field athlete towards his baby and caught him right in time. All of a sudden, my mom turned to me and blamed me for this incident. I felt like my side of the story wasn’t considered when I explained she told me to help her with the couch and it was really Andres’s fault. She couldn’t believe I was blaming a baby so she sent me to my room. I ran to my room crying, feeling as if Andres was the favorite child and I wished that I never had a…

I was walking to the subway the other day and as I crossed the street, there was a man on the corner with his dog. As I passed, the man firmly said, “Come here, girl.” He immediately looked up at me and exclaimed, “Oh my god, I’m so sorry. I meant her! The dog! Not you!” I knew exactly what he meant but I appreciated the apology nonetheless. And that’s the story of how I got…

I was walking home after a long day of school when I saw it. A dog charging towards me barking at me. I started to run not thinking about all those articles that had constantly told me not to run when being chased by a dog. I ran as fast as I possibly could with a 6-pound backpack on me and a heavy laptop my mother had gotten me for Christmas.I could feel how close it was getting, practically almost biting my ankles. When I decided the best idea was to throw my laptop at the dog and run as fast as I could away from it.I did exactly that and hit the dog with my laptop and run away.I got to my house and was welcomed by nobody. My mother wasn't home and I was all alone. I reached into my pocket to grab my phone to call when I realized my phone…

They came into my life about eight years ago. I was ten years old at the time and my father had just started dating a woman, who is now my stepmother. Before I knew it, my father had informed me she was moving in and she would be bringing her two dogs with. Fortunately for my stepmother, the dogs and I instantly clicked. At the time Mookie was five and Mya was three and still had a face of a puppy. They were never frightened or uncomfortable by their new environment. However, whenever there was a thunderstorm, they would shake uncontrollably to the extent they could not walk and if there was a storm when we weren’t home, it was certain there was always a mess when we returned. I’ll never forget the first summer they were at the house and we had gone out with some family friends and it had stormed while we were gone. Well, when we had returned and walked in, they managed to rip the entire carpet in our living room to shreds along with the matting underneath. They had been so terrified they were trying to dig themselves to the basement. Rather than run and hide from the damage they had created as most dogs do, they had run directly to me and leaned against me for protection.…
