Microsoft vs. Apple Corporation
Microsoft and Apple Corporation, the two giants of the Silicon Valley have always been a good subject for debates. It’s not just a race of market values, though. At battle is the very fundamental core about the future of technology. Both the companies were started by college drop outs. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs share many things in common, such as, they chose similar college degrees and career paths, despite their dollar worth being so different (for now), Gates and Jobs have a considerable things in common. But both of them had a totally different philosophy about business.
Bill Gates has a more open approach. He focuses on how a company can benefit not only rich people but also those who cannot afford to buy services from these companies. He calls it Creative Capitalism. It simply states – a group can be profitable if each individual in the group thinks about his benefits and the benefits of the group .He is simply trying to urge rich companies to think about the global scenario and how they can help the world. Bill Gates enthusiasm, vision, and hard work were the driving force behind the company. Gates has shown that he is the master of adapting market conditions and technologies. All in all, Bill Gates is a huge giver.
On the other hand, Steve Job had a little bit different approach than Gates. His unbelievable imagination envisioned his company growing and taking market share from another competitor, but it was another thing to envision that his company's products and services will change the way people communicate, work and live their lives. He built his company under the assumption that Apple's products and services would change the world. He was also extremely passionate and fearless when it came to growing Apple. Many actions in his career were controversial and at certain points risked the future of the company. He had an extraordinary ability to push his company and employees to
