Aquidneck Mobile Movers Business Plan
4.1 Product
Aquidneck Mobile Movers doesn’t sell any tangible products, however, we offer both transportation and delivery services to the mobility impaired. Currently, there isn’t a comparable service available to the residents and visitors of Aquidneck Island. An Uber ride for the same distance on a weekday morning is approximately $20.00 before tip. Since transportation will be done using wheelchair accessible vans, it will cost more than an average Uber trip, but less than a trip through Orange Cab. In general, wheelchair accessible vans are more expensive to drive and maintain than regular vehicles, therefore the rates can’t be as low as Uber. Unfortunately, this pricing method doesn’t show signs of profitability because the demand of Aquidneck Mobile Makers is expected to be far less than the demand for Uber rides. However, it is important to keep prices lower than Orange Cab to stay

Transportation is currently arranged but not provided by the Rapha Assisted Living. Arrangements are conducted in collaboration with the relatives at the time of admission. The transportation arrangements include transport residents to doctor appointments, activities, etc. You must have fleet insurance or sedan service to provide transportation for the residents. Since most of the residents have their own vehicles it is most appropriate and cost effective to arrange transportation for those who do not. However, in arranging for transportation, we need to contact county services or city rides to provide transportation service three times per week. This also increases Rapha’s value to the community.…

    1. Some advantages to purchasing a two-wheeled trailer for each store are not having to pay shipping or delivery charges once the gym has been purchased and the customer can use the trailer without incurring an additional rental fee or cost to them as well as the convenience of the customer being able to take the gym home with them immediately. Some disadvantages would be primarily profit loss, inconvenience to many customers who do not have vehicles which accommodate trailer hitches, the liability for licensing and insuring each trailer and conflicts arising when more one gym is purchased and the trailer is being used for another delivery. Upon first glance, the disadvantages to both the consumer and the company are too great for this to be a viable option; however, more research and discussion may be needed to validate this as an option.…
