The scene opens with Miep and Mr. Kraler, accompanied by Mr. Frank. Miep offers Mr. Frank the diary. He takes it and turns to a certain page. “In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.” Anne says these words with such certainty that she will make it through whatever lies ahead. She states this opinion, so that the world may become a place of equality, welcoming all types of people to live in peace, no matter the race, religion, or ethnicity. Anne’s main belief was that people were really good at heart, and through the holocaust she learned what true value and personality is really like. Striving for adulthood, she took the time to be positive and think about the world in a way that many of us couldn’t even imagine. In horrible times, Anne believed that people were very good at heart, and this is provided throughout her life experiences, family and friends, and her small checker-boarded
