Susan B. Anthony, Helen Keller, and Anne Frank all had interesting lives and are some of the most inspirational women in history. All these women had a lot of struggles in life, but only one of them had lived during the treacherous times of the Holocaust. Although Jewish men and women struggled through the cruel “Final Solution”in Nazi Germany during World War II, the children that lived during the tragedy must have been mentally scarred from the Holocaust, that is if they managed to survive. Anne Frank, known for her famous diary entries, had lived in an annex for many years with her family in order to hide from the Nazis lurking around the area at the time. She wrote in her diary as the years passed on and named it “Kitty”. Anne Frank was born in June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, and was the child of Otto and Edith Frank, both being from respected Jewish families. The two parents already had a three-year-old daughter when Anne was born who was named Margot Frank. Because of the Great Depression caused by Germany’s loss from WWI, the Franks, as well as most other families that lived in Germany during that time, had struggled with financial problems as Anne grew up. After learning from a Dutch Free Radio broadcast that her diary could hold some historical importance in the future, she started to rewrite the whole diary. But in August 4, 1944, a Nazi policeman received a tip on where Anne and her family was hiding and the policeman raided the annex. Everyone was sent to Westerbork and one month later,were then sent to Auschwitz, Poland where Edith had died of starvation. Anne and Margot was then sent from Auschwitz to Bergen-Belsen where Anne and Margot both died only one month before the camp was liberated by the Allied
