A nother invention was the printing press. This changed the game on so many levels for not just Europe but all of Italy. The printing press gave people the opportunity to read themselves. This boosted the literacy rates all across Europe, creating a stronger smarter and wealthier bourgeoisie.
The renaissance also helped improve social conditions in Italy as well. These ideas were expressed through a new concept called humanism. The idea of Humanism was that anybody could do anything, it stressed the potential value of humans. This idea brought people together. People were now participating in social events, moving to the city and making money. With economics booming people were happier, and conversing on a more regular basis. This was especially true in Italy as interest in social issues rose to a record high. there were also new outlooks on people for example artists. Artist rose in the social class as people viewed art as a commodity and artists as gods. For example painters like Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci and even sculptors like Donatello work rose to new heights. Art became the thing to have to show your wealth.
