Different techniques can also prevent high school football players from getting badly hurt. After repeated brain injuries players start to lose their mind and are capable of taking their own life. High school football player receive less medical attention than professional football players, this is another reason why concussions aren’t taken as serious in high schools. Concussions are worse for teenagers because the brain tissue is less developed than adults. A way for preventing a concussion would be by teaching football players to tackle, but in a way that won’t hurt their head. Improving helmet technology is a good place to start. Better still, doctors say, coaches need to do a better job of making sure any player with a head injury stays off the field long enough for the injury to fully heal.
