Do you believe we should keep online piracy? Seventy percent of people find nothing wrong with online piracy.(Miller) Do you think we should have law for piracy?Online piracy is the unauthorized reproduction or use of a recording, trademarked product, television programs,copyrighted books,and patented invention..The importance of this issue is that many people want to be able to keep getting access to music,movies, and tv shows for free. People who want to get rid of piracy want to get rid of piracy because it ruin people's chances of making money, owning people products for free, and it messes up people’s chances of making money whose only living off revenue.The supporting arguments and facts of the opposing side is that getting rid of piracy will regulate every website to the regulations imposed by the government, it would be an increase in revenue for businesses because customers would not have no choice but to pay for things, and it will allow copyright owners to have the right to shut down any website who replicate their content. Things the people who are for and against piracy have in common is that they both know pirating is somewhat bad. Online piracy is not a bad thing and online piracy allows us to download and watch things without having to pay for anything. Sometimes the only reason people get a chance to watch certain movies is because they were able to watch it for free at home because of piracy, and it lets you get albums for free but without online piracy you will have to pay over around twelve dollars or more. Internet piracy is the only chance you have at accessing products that are unavailable(miller),it lets people out of the country watch shows that do not air where they live at(miller), also if you download around 100 songs a month that will cost you nearly $100 or more but downloading the albums for free and you can save money instead of spending your money at a legitimate online music store, you can watch movies before they come out(miller), if you disliked the movie you watch you are not stuck knowing that you wasted money on a terrible movie,if there is a law for piracy it would allow dangerous regulation of the internet,pirating advertises for artists and exposing others to their free music,if there is a law for piracy big internet companies will blackout for day,a lot of websites will be removed from the worldwide web and it will start a problem in the online world,the law for piracy will cost a lot of money to implement,seventy percent of people find nothing wrong with online piracy,piracy also make brands and tv shows more known,if piracy did not exist we would not have things improving like netflix, it also allows us to discover media that we most likely would have skipped,and it also could be useful for mass media.
