Argumentative Essay: What Are The Syrian Refugees?
Are the Syrian Refugees really refugees, and why should we take them in if there are so many terrorists attacks coming from these refugees? In just three weeks, two terrorists attacks have happened, one of which was an attack on Paris and the other was a smaller attack on a police officer in the USA. If we just let the refugees deal with their own problems, and not shelter them, we may not have all of these attacks. Syrian refugees may not be refugees at all, they may, in fact, be Islamic state terrorists using stolen assigned passports, using fake passports, and using the “refugee” name but in fact are not refugees at all.
Islamic state terrorists have been know for using someones else’s passport, and changing the picture of that passport, to make it into another country. A Syrian

Ed Morrissey author from Hot Air magazine wrote, "The Syrian operative claimed more than 4,000 covert ISIS gunmen had made it into western nations, hidden among innocent refugees" (Morrissey). Just think about the fact that 4,000 Covert ISIS gunmen can make it into a country with just the refugee name. If countries are letting refugees into their country without any proof of ID then they are asking for trouble. Anybody can say that they are a refugee and they can lie to back it up as well. An author from Northern and Shell Publication named Leda Reynolds wrote in her article that, “Eight people have been arrested at Istanbul's main airport amid fears they are Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists posing as refugees after they were found clutching a hand-drawn map plotting the route to Germany" (Reynolds). If eight people can travel to Germany just by saying they are refugees, then they could probably go to other places under that name but actually succeed. Terrorists don’t need fancy passports to get into other countries, sometimes they could just use the refugees

Khairuldeen Makhzoomi, a UC Berkeley student, was removed from a plane ride for speaking Arabic while speaking on the phone on April 14, 2016 (Wang 1). He thinks that he was falsely reported by another passenger and states that these types of actions make Americans feel even more terrorized by Muslims and lead to more conflict with the Islamic State (Wang 1). Two days later, a Maryland woman was also kicked out of an airflight for no apparent reason and believes it was because she was wearing a hijab (Pitts 1). Because of this a Muslim advocacy organization has taken action against the Southwest Airlines for making false assumptions of Muslim Americans (Pitts 1). Following the 9/11 attacks airlines began to check passengers more thoroughly, especially those who are of foreign descent, even though they make passengers feel they are being treated…

Very often, people do not know what a refugee is, and what they have to go through, and once they do get informed about whom they are and their characteristics, they compare them to immigrants. What they don’t know is that these two peoples are very common but only come to a new country because of different reasons.…

Those who manage to escape the war zone, are going through a horrible situation. The civil war has caused more than one third of the nation to leave their homes and forced to leave their country and migrate to the neighboring countries like Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and some to Iraq. The majority of people who have fled the civil war now live in Turkey. In the article “Syrian refugees entering Turkey create Dangers for the United States,” the author illustrate that more than 3.5 million Syrians have been displaced by the end of 2013 but since then the civil war has escalated and even more people has been fleeing the country (Grey, 1-2). Therefore, we all can imagine how many people have left their country as the civil war get more intense, especially in current time more people will be leaving the country to avoid conflict and get out of the war zone. All of them have gone through hardships to get to their destination with no transportation, no water to drink, nothing to eat walking through the desert with the temperatures extremely high in the summer and extremely low in the winter. In addition, during the migration many people are losing their lives in the sea trying to get to Europe. People are taking risks immigrating…

A series of pro-democracy protests that took place in 2011 in Syria has escalated into a full-blown civil war. Because of this, one of the bigger issues that has risen over the past few years is the amount of people that have fled Syria due to the war. Roughly, over four million Syrian refugees had to flee; most of them are women and children. This has not only developed into a problem for the refugees themselves but to many neighboring countries as well. Some of these include Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and Greece. The U.N has taken note over the situation since many countries are struggling to accommodate the thousands of refugees that come in on a regular basis.…

As most of us know, recently there was an attack at Paris by a popular group of terrorist known as Isis, although this is not their first attack, whether or not refugees are to be accepted into the U.S. has brought more attention. ISIS stands for Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and they are a group of religious extremist and their main goal is to create a group of Muslims who will all follow their extremist beliefs. The problem with that is that now many Muslims are being shamed because of this group, even if all theses other poor people may have nothing to do with ISIS, they are being dragged into their problems, Now many other states are refusing to let thousands of innocent refugees into their land for the sake…

The world is faced with numerous problems. One of them being the vast number of refugees who are trying to seek a safer and healthier environment in which they can stay. Canada has been asked if they could accept some of the refugees into their communities so that the refugees could have a safer place to stay. The question we are debating today is if Canada should accept to take the numerous refugees that are seeking places to stay. I believe that, as a citizen of Canada, we should welcome refugees onto our land and into our communities, as Canadians, we should help them escape. If they are trying to seek refuge in a new place, why would they do something they are really trying to flee from? By accepting the refugees, we are providing them with a shelter and resources to help them become healthy after their past experiences.…

The unsanitary and cramped camps that they are currently staying in in neighboring countries, when compared to the violence the Syrians faced back in their country, are the lesser of two evils. Yes, millions of refugees need better conditions to live in until their country is safe, but, now, America is not the right place for those refugees to be. ISIS, which has most its members in Syria, causes a security concern far too great for the U.S. to ignore, the economy is not strong enough to support a mass influx of refugees, high social tensions would create problems, and the lack of monetary resources could leave America unable to provide for the refugee’s…

As the Syrian Civil War and the Islamic State – a Sunni resistance active in Syria and Iraq– continue to create atrocities, the issue of extremism has been brought back to the global political agenda (‘What is Islamic State?’ 2014). Following this, many Western countries including Australia, the UK and Canada, have been bombarded with their young Muslim citizens becoming radicalised despite having no clear connections but their Islamic faith. These countries’ insecurity over this phenomenon includes the possibility of those who travel to Syria and Iraq bringing skills, knowledge as well as radical views back home, and the extreme difficulty of identifying and stopping them in advance. The increasing number of domestic incidents associated with radicalisation in each country too remains their security concerns (Olding 2013).…

Hazem Al Ayad is forced to drop his identity as soon as he leaves his home country of Iraq. When he left he didn’t belong anywhere. ‘I am unwelcome in every country on this earth, when I think that people in this country want my family to drown, rather than step foot on this shore, then I find it hard not to believe in evil.’ Hazem is led to a world of injustices because his home country is so bad. Current day refugees face the same problem as Hazem did in Two Brothers. They are forced out of their own country due to reasons that people wish were gone from society such as wars and power hungry dictators. As soon as they board that boat to Australia they are leaving their identity behind and they are then put into detention centres.…
